SLC’S GRE-TOEFEL-CAT CLUB(SLCGTC)
SLC’S GRE-TOEFEL-CAT CLUB(SLCGTC) is an initiative of 2007-11 batch students of SLC.
SLCGTC is intended to prepare the SLCians for preparing them for long-term goals of students who are interested in appearing for exams like GRE, GMAT, GATE, TOEFEL ,CAT…..etc and continue their higher studies and also to develop the personality of the SLCians .
The MAIN OBJECTIVES of SLCGTC are:
Ø To excel the students in sections like analytical ability, verbal ability, mental ability, basic mathematics and English which are generally asked in these exams.
Ø To ensure that SLCians are good at skills like public speaking, group discussions, mock interviews which also hold main criteria for selection into mncs and also exams like CAT.
Ø To conduct events like quizzes and workshops on the public speaking and related things frequently.
Ø The members who are interested in management education will be given special attention.
Ø Students will be encouraged to participate in various events taking place around and take part in national events like techno-management fests.
Ø The final and main objective of SLCGTC is to develop the SLCians as a whole person.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
v This club is confined only to the 2007 batch of SLC and batches coming hereafter.
v The club is limited to only 60-65 members, to maintain the quality of the club.
v One of the faculties will be appointed as the advisory chairman of the club.
v The admission into the club will be purely on the discretion of its organizers.
v SLCGTC is an autonomous and student headed organization and will remain so in the future.
v The club will have a student secretary and a chief volunteer elected by the members of the club.
v The secretary will be responsible for all the activities of the club.
INFRASTRUTURAL REQUIREMENTS:
The initial requirements of the club are limited only to a classroom with minimum requirements such as benches for a comfortable seating, an OHP machine or a projector and a computer lab. Other requirements consist of providing of required books and lectures by eminent people and guest faculties by the management depending on the requirements of the club.
CURRICULUM:
The curriculum of the club consists of practice sessions on the various sections of GRE-TOEFEL-CAT etc…..workshops on public speaking, group discussions…..and lectures by eminent personalities to invoke the inspiration among the students and personality development.
TIMINGS:
The working hours of the club are purely dependent on the academic schedule. Mostly the working hours are confined to weekends and holidays.
